TAOS, NEW MEXICO

What is Kundalini Yoga? Kundalini yoga is called the yoga of awareness. The Kundalini energy is vitality, creativity, and consciousness. As we practice, this energy becomes awakened within us. Kundalini Yoga combines posture, breath, hand position, sound, and eye focus to produce a powerful experience and a shift in mind, body, and spirit.

Yoga is so much more than a set of bendy asanas. Yoga gives us a framework for self-realization, a guide to becoming more authentically us. Join me in summer 2022 in Taos, New Mexico for a journey of discovery. During each of our physical practices, we will explore what it means to truly live our yoga, to dive deep into both our hearts and our spiritual hearts. We will explore various teachings from multiple traditions including The Bhagavad Gita, The Upanishads & Japji Sahib to enhance our own individual personal practices.

Each day will have plenty of free time to spend relaxing, adventuring, or simply being in the presence of the mountains and the desert. Optional excursions will be available as well as optional spa services. Each day’s practice will include breathwork, chanting & mantra, asana, concentration, and meditation to awaken our individual Kundalini energy, the energy of our creativity and vitality. Optional advanced meditation practices will be available as well.

Join me and awaken your body, mind, and spirit through Kundalini yoga. In each class, participants are invited to explore the concepts of what makes Kundalini yoga a Raja form of yoga, by experiencing with an open heart the Bhakti (devotional) nature & Shakti (strength) of their own Higher Self.Kundalini Yoga is a way of living using the tri-fold approach of Bhakti Yoga (devotion), Shakti Yoga (increasing energy & vitality) & Raja Yoga (stilling the fluctuations of the mind). A special focus is paid to Patanjali’s kriya yoga system: tapaḥ (discipline), svādhyāya (spiritual study) and iśvarapraṇidāna (devotion to the Divine). Kundalini Yoga uses Pranayama / Breathwork, Meditation, Chanting / Singing, Concentration, Mudra, and more to encourage each person to connect deeply to their own True Essence, to recognize that the other person is us and to realize a blissful state of non-duality.
